Children dream much more intensively than adults; this is because firstly the daily life of a child is much more impressive than for an adult. As an adult you have already seen once; for a child everything is new.
In addition, children need much more time to process everything they experience during the day - the Brain also grows very fast and hard so that it is prepared for adulthood.
Yet another reason is that dreams and visions are much more intense for children because of the beginning of the living start of life; and then you can think of the memory of past lives, soul pain.
Birth pain, new time energy. Making friends and adapting to human life is a challenge, especially for young children. As childhood passes, the less intensive this becomes and the less the child starts to dream and / or has visions.
A child's imagination is very lively - the monster under the bed is a true classic example of the liveliness of the child's brain; making everything much more intensive.
Because children are still very open to the connection with their basis, the spiritual insights, new-time energy. All children and babies can actually feel this influence, see from the spirits or deceased loved ones etc that can also lead to very intensive situations.
Also the fantasy boyfriend, fantasy girlfriend is part of this - this can be a deceased lover but also a fantasy image. The child tries to process everything in this way. Children mirror everything from their parents, educators, neighborhood children, friends. In this way, the fantasy friend is reflected in all the life lessons that the child learns at school, daycare or with friends.
All this is part of it!, .... you don't have to worry about this because as the child grows up, this diminishes and it becomes less intensive. It is true that a BUT can be placed behind; because there are always exceptions.
If the child Dreams Too Much, Has Too Many Dreams, Has Many Visions, Recurrent Nightmares and or Very Much, it is really wise to ask for professional help. Hypersensitivity, HSP and / or new age child etc often send their first signals through visions and dreams.
The fantasy of a child is therefore to protect itself against the outside world. No one can approach or attack this fantasy world because they have created it themselves.
Babies sleep around 15 a day and half of them are brake sleep;
Toddlers sleep about 12 hours and 3 hours brake sleep;
Preschool children sleep approximately 11 hours and 2.5 hours of that sleep;
Children from the age of 9 sleep about 10 hours and 2 of them sleep
Teens sleep like an adult; but they dream much more of that, because they have to deal with hormonally much - they sleep 2 hours of brake sleep;
Adults sleep an average of 8 hours and 2 hours is brake sleep.
Take the time to take the child's dreams and visions seriously; talk about it in a fun and playful way. Do not make it a BigDeal, do it lightly and openly - but by understanding the dreams and / or visions of the child you also understand better what is going on in the child's world.
Children mirror everything (and especially on animals) in dreams and visions.
The Crocodile or Shark can represent an angry parent;
For example, the Horse that receives a Foal can represent a brother or sister;
De Leeuw is often a reflection of both fear and the family;
The mouse can represent love and warmth, but if a snake eats the mouse, it generally gives the child an unpleasant feeling that is related to losing something.
It is common everywhere that Cuddly Animal Dreams are positive and Scary Animal Dreams represent negative. That the bedroom or house offers safety and the barn or country house represent insecurity.
I am not a child specialist / doctor so this approach is purely based on my own experiences as a Dream and child coach! ....
