Droom Yoga

You have probably heard of Yoga, you probably think of fluid movements that balance your mind, body and so on. Yes there is also dream yoga (sleep meditation) this form of yoga belongs to one of the six subtypes of yoga, as described by the Tibetan Guru Marpa.

The old way of practicing dream yoga is still performed by monks to this day. Dream yoga consists of six phases. The monks used the sleeping time to make contact with the higher, deceased loved ones, the soul, the base and ancestors and / or wise elder and inspirational predecessors. Exercise 2 is there to overcome all the fears of your dreams.

 

Teach yourself to realize that nothing in your dream can hurt you. That you are in control of how the dream goes and / or how it ends. Exercise 3 is a meditation to make you aware that your dream world and your waking world are equal.

 

You become aware that life is just as realistic and / or illusionary as your dreams - this is because nothing is fixed, set in stone. Exercise 5 Realizing that everything is relative and unreal.

 

Realizing (becoming aware of the fact) that the body is as unreal as all the objects around you. Realizing that you are not the "dreamer's body" present in the dream, but are the dream itself. Your body can be manipulated in the same way as other aspects, or it can even disappear. Learn to anchor yourself

 

In other words, your physical appearance is not bound, connected to your soul, your source, your base. You are one, you can be anything a tree, a candle, a feather, an animal and so on. Exercise 6 Target conscious focus.

As a final exercise, letting go of all limitations and connecting yourself to the higher and / or with which you have a connection and so on and / or with which you feel connected is learning to put "Purpose-conscious focus", consciously bringing yourself into a certain connection. By connecting with this you make a connection with the doorway to enlightenment, the clear light of emptiness and spiritual growth.
